Presented by Rev. Marshall K Hammer, Facilitator for Survivors of Suicide Loss and Founder of Reiki for Today & Befriend Your Grief.

I’ve worked in therapeutic and healing spaces for more than a decade, and for 5 of those years, I facilitated groups for Survivors of Suicide Loss.

As a fellow survivor, I have learned how incredibly valuable it is to heal in the company of others who truly understand.

Getting through the aftermath of my father's suicide has been the hardest thing I've ever experienced. And it has also helped make me who I am today, a person whom I truly love.

This work is the culmination of my lived experience, research, and love of working with others who grieve this type of loss. And it has been years in the making.

Though what you'll find here isn't overly sentimental, it is absolutely crafted through the influence of many hearts who have gone through this heartbreak.

I know this path of grieving a loved one can feel insurmountable, draining, and confusing. Survivors of Suicide Loss can feel lost and like they don’t recognize themselves. Grief can feel like a constant threat.

But it doesn't have to stay that way.

Please join me.

Or rather, please allow me to join you.

Wherever you are is perfect. Come discover the full power (and beauty) of your own strength.

What is Befriend Your Grief?
12 weeks of companioning designed
for Survivors of Suicide Loss

This isn't therapy. It isn't a cure.

It's a space where you don't have to explain yourself.
Where the "why" questions are held with tenderness.
Where your anger, guilt, confusion, and grief are all welcome.

We meet weekly on Tuesdays in real time via Zoom.
Just you, me, and other folks who truly get it.
This live support experience is intentionally capped at 10 per cohort.

What's included:

  • 12 live 90-minute live support sessions

  • Grief resources and tools explored individually and in community

  • A Container with those who understand this unique experience of loss

  • Presence and guidance from a facilitator who's been where you are

What's NOT included:

  • Recordings (sessions are confidential and not recorded)

  • Individual therapy or crisis intervention

  • Lengthy email support between sessions

This is grief support and companioning, not psychotherapy.
If you're in crisis, please call 988 or Mobile Crisis in your area.

Why does this work matter?

Over 42% of American adults know someone who has died by suicide. That's nearly half of us. Each loss affects approximately 135 people.

If you're one of them, you already know: this grief is different. The questions with no answers. The guilt. The stigma. The isolation.

You deserve support that understands this specific landscape. You don't have to figure this out alone.

Ready to join?

Enrollment opens soon.

Not ready but want to support others?

Consider donating to the Joy Fund - a scholarship fund created in memory of Bridget, who was both a survivor of suicide loss and someone we lost to suicide.

Your donation helps provide access to this program for those facing cost barriers.
